great post! Reminds me fondly of a session I attended called &quot;The Mindful Coach&quot; by Doug Silsbee either last year or year before at Int&#039;l Assoc of Facilitators. He is the author of a book by the same title, the title of Doug&#039;s book. Very good teacher. If you have an interest, I&#039;m pretty sure he&#039;s on IAF&#039;s agenda again in 2007 at the Portland Conference in March. (www.iaf-world.org) Doug has very similar philosophies and is really into understanding yourself as an essential element of coaching...assuring you aren&#039;t imparting inappropriate biases (but recognizing you cannot avoid all bias...not if you&#039;re human, anyway). Great stuff. I haven&#039;t Flaherty, but will look into it.
